Joann Godenir

Tucked away in her backyard studio, you can find JoAnn with a warm cup of tea and her buckets of paint. She works with wood panels and unconventional tools, creating for as long as the day allows. After earning her BA in Sociology and working for over a decade, she chose to answer the call of creativity. Her practice is deeply connected to her life as a mother, wife, sister, and daughter. Blending the linear organization with spontaneous unrestrained areas reflects the interplay between heart and mind trying to balance our often many roles.

JoAnn is represented by Christine Klassen Gallery in Calgary.
